DoubleEnder

This has become my all time favorite aircraft. I have made Orthophoto tiles of the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast and all of Louisiana much of East Texas. I fly between 1000 and 2000 feet looking at the scenery. I do not use any World Objects because they just clutter up and obscure the orthophoto graphics with trees and lego buildings. The view from this little plane is just great. I bought the plane from the X-plane org store rather than direct from x-hanger, so I hope that I will be able to get any upgrades for it that come out. For the bush fans, If you like STOL, and you like it rugged, the DoubleEnder is for you. If you are familiar with the Super Cub, then you will feel right at home. The only exception is the second engine, which is in-line, that adds to the performance and systems redundancy. The handling is as one would expect, extreme, but in a way that will satisfy the off-airport flyer. Expect high performance take offs and helicopter-like approaches from the vista style view allowed from the cockpit. No more worries on water landings with the ability to see exactly how far off the water you are. In a word, this plane is OUTSTANDING! Five Stars.
