Explorer 500T

I was incredibly excited to see that X-Hanger designed a 500T model for X=Plane and I can tell you that the result is fantastic! I have about 50 flight hours on the real 500T prototype, so I was happy to give the X-Hanger model a try. I have to say, it’s great! The controls are what we wanted, which means it’s very predictable and well balanced, just like the real thing! We’ve designed an aircraft that new commercial pilots will enjoy and fly safely. This is another outstanding aircraft from X-Hanger. It is also a gets me from point A to point B and I mean to tell you it gets me there in a hurry. I fly it at between 3000 and 5000 feet with the engine set at about 1600 ft-lb torque and 1700 rpm. That will get me about 200 KIA at 3000 feet using 34 GPH fuel. Again the Garmin G-1000 is nice and stable in X-Plane 11, and the instrument panel is clear and easy to read on my 2017 iMac. This is the fastest get about plane that I am currently using now, and again once I get somewhere I go to my trusty DoubleEnder. The download also includes a version for X-Plane 12. As I understand it, the developers are waiting for X-Plane to finalize some issues with version 12. This is just my opinion, but I personally feel that Laminar released 12 too early. The forums are full of discussions and workarounds regarding fixes X-Plane 12 as users are waiting for Laminar to fix the thing. It is a shame that X-Hanger has to wait also.
